Reflective Portraits

Portraits made in Metal Sheeting

Mirage 19

Nineteenth in the Mirage Series of Abstract Art Nudes.

It was hot that afternoon and the air was thick with humidity- unusually so even for the city.  It made her hair curl and swarm around her, a great lion’s mane encircling her head.  The heat made us all move slow that day, but made her a regal visage in reflection.

Mirage 18a: Abstract Art Nude Portraiture.

Mirage 18 a

Eighteenth in the Mirage series of abstract art nudes.  My friend Sera has been having a big hair week, on account of the heat and humidity.  So it seemed natural to grab her for a couple of quick portrait shots using the mirrors.  I love how her hair became a lion’s mane!  Depending on where she stood in relation to the mirror or which side of the mirror was up we got totally different looks- all in about thirty minutes.  This one is the FB safe version.  I’ll post the non-FB approved version next.

Mirror Portrait 1

I have a ton of images to edit, but I wanted to put this one up in the mean time.  It’s a portrait I did with Mara using a polished metal mirror.  It came out simply stunning!  I may have to expand on this portrait concept with additional mirror types.
