Images from China

I recently had to travel to China for work.  Our trips are very focused with a lot of business packed into very little time, but I always manage to make some images.  More after the jump.

Traveling in China

I cannot talk much about our business there, except to say that we use contract facilities in multiple countries including China.  Plus, this is my art blog, so no business talk!  I wanted to convey the intensity of Shanghai.  It’s a dense, bustling city full of nervous energy but with a more care free vibe than Beijing.  You can almost watch the city grow as new buildings go up.

But old neighborhoods are tucked right up against the new high rises.  Wonder which will win out.

Shanghai at Night

The night scene in Shanghai is tough to describe.  One part Vegas, one part Manhattan, one part Disney World.  It’s truly something to behold!
