Photographers love gear, and with so many excellent toys out there, it can be easy to get lost in GAS (gear acquisition syndrome). But in art, it’s not about the gear but the final product. Sometimes the most humble of tools gets us to the image. (more…)
A buddy of mine recently acquired a used Fuji x100 and lent it to me for a weekend. The leaf shutter and its ability to sync to 1/4000th of a second is a very compelling feature and I used it in a class to create a moody vibe for our images (see an example here). But I wanted to see how the Fuji x100 would perform in street photography, so I dragged it around Boston for a day. Some of the results are after the jump. (more…)
A poorly planned art nude shoot is not going to go well. Go in without a clear concept or even a concept beyond “nude woman in front of X” and you risk creating a boring image. The whole goal of the Art Nudes in Nature workshop was to avoid boring images. Hit the jump to see if we met that goal!
