Color Exploration

I’ve been exploring the use of color in the metal mirror art nudes.

Sometimes subtle.  Sometimes brash.  Color has been bringing something new to the work.

Lately I’ve been shooting the metal mirror art nudes on a very simple set.  We have a cyclorama with a side wall made from white perspex.  The perspex is opaque but translucent.  I’ve been using strobes gelled with different colors to create a colored background and provide some separation light.  I can adjust the strobes so the color is very subtle (as below), or to where it dominates the mood of the image.  I’ll put up more of the latter in subsequent posts.

Even a small amount of color completely changes the mood a feel of the image.
