I have a hard time writing about my artwork.  Multiple ideas run around in my head an coalesce into images, but not necessarily words.  This was one of those sessions where everything clicked and the image perfectly sums up what I’ve been thinking, but cannot quite articulate.  The strong metal features running through the model’s body become a part of her rather than interceding.  There is a sense of loss, as after an amputation or injury, but also a willfulness to survive and carry on.  Tomorrow will come, but it will be very different from today.  The mind processes the loss and maps the future.  Corpus and conscience adapt and evolve in a new reality.
