More from the Time and Memory Series
Memories fold upon themselves, like images printed on silk and allowed to move with the breeze.
These photographs are an attempt to visualize past events as a recalled memory. Experience, image and sensation layer themselves into a recollection that is neither solid nor fully ephemeral. Time is averaged by the long photographic exposure and the movement of the mylar. Multiple flash bursts during the exposure freeze Mara into the photo in a multitude of poses. All are her existence, and yet none are fully her.
