Texture- This one goes to eleven!
I’ve been experimenting with texture in the metal sheets and decided to push the concept for this art nude shoot. I worked the metal to a point of having not just an altered surface, but some topology to it as well.
I did two things a little differently here. One was to crayon on the polishing agent, then buff it off of the metal. This created alternating streaks of high polish and darker areas. I also flexed the sheet over a dowel, creating ridges that mirrored the polished streaks. The results were pretty extreme!
The model Ramagious is a very tall and slender woman with long white dreadlocks who can contort and angle herself into some amazing poses. I’m looking forward to working with her again, and you can get a feel for what may come with this image. The combination of the metal texture and topology with her posing results in almost total abstraction! I may back off of the metal flexure a bit, but I am encouraged with the results!
