Change is hard.  While a snake can shed its skin, rebirth does not come naturally to people

Renewal. Reinvention. Rebirth.  I want to become something new, to wake up a different person with a fresh skin and unclouded eyes.  To move forward into into uncharted territory, pausing only briefly to look back at my former self piled up in the corner like discarded clothes and wonder “who was that?”  But rebirth takes energy.
